Settler scholar, itinerant social worker
Treaty 6, amiskwaciy-wâskahikan
I am a settler scholar & social worker on Treaty 6 Territory in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I’m currently a PhD Candidate in Media & Cultural Studies and the Digital Humanities at the University of Alberta; Project Manager for The First Three Years; Project Lead for the YEG Police Violence Archive; and I occasionally make games, apps, and other stuff under my imprint grey fox media.
I teach courses on critical game studies and game design at the University of Alberta. My research examines the intersections of gender-based violence and video games, equity issues in game education and the industry, and applications of technology for social good.
